Juliann Siwicki, LGPC
About Me
Juliann Siwicki graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications from Marymount University, followed by completing her graduate studies at Bowie State University, where she obtained a master’s degree in School Counseling. Subsequently, she earned an additional master’s degree in clinical mental health from McDaniel College. She has worked for the Anne Arundel County School system over a 14-year period.
Juliann enjoys working with a variety of mental health difficulties, and her special interests include those who struggle with anxiety and relational issues. Juliann employs the principles of cognitive-behavioral therapy to help her clients develop more adaptive thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She believes that by modifying our thoughts, we can alter our feelings and behaviors, which can lead to significant improvements in mental wellbeing. She uses an empathetic, non-judgmental approach in therapy and tailors her interventions to meet the unique needs of each client. She is experienced in integrating various CBT techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and mindfulness-based strategies in her therapeutic work to help her clients reach their goals.
