About Me
Alyssa Lind-Combs is a clinical social worker with over a decade of therapy experience. She has worked with children, families, teens, and young adults in a variety of practice settings including integrated primary care, outpatient, home-based, and partial hospitalization programs. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The College of William and Mary, and a Master of Social Work degree from The Ohio State University.
Alyssa believes that therapy is a collaborative process requiring hard work and courage, while allowing for plenty of humor and fun along the way. She takes a flexible, lighthearted, and honest approach with her clients and families. Her areas of specialization include family stress, behavioral difficulties, parenting, trauma, anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, ADHD, and LGBTQ+ advocacy.
Tailoring treatment to fit each individual, Alyssa draws from a variety of therapy approaches including Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Functional and Strategic Family Therapies, and Family Behavior Management.
Alyssa spends most of her downtime making music, hiking, and trying to stop her toddler from running over her two large dogs with a plastic car.
