Mia Martin, LCPC

About Me

Mia completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Towson University and Master of Science in Applied Counseling Psychology from the University of Baltimore to obtain licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Mia has a variety of counseling experience ranging from admissions and career counseling at the University of Maryland to outpatient community mental health counseling in Baltimore.

 

Mia enjoys working with adolescents, young adults and adults experiencing life transitions to help them navigate a variety of mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, family and childhood trauma, identity and adjustment-related difficulties. She develops a safe and nonjudgmental environment for clients of all backgrounds using a multicultural lens. Mia utilizes a combination of mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused CBT, and psychodynamic approaches to help clients look inward, identify their needs, and create lasting change to improve overall life satisfaction and wellbeing.
