Johanna Clay Souder, Psy.D.
About Me
Dr. Johanna Clay Souder completed her undergraduate degree from Salisbury University in Psychology. She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Morehead University in Kentucky. She later went on to complete her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University of Washington, D.C.
Dr. Souder has over thirty years of experience providing therapy and psychological assessments in a wide variety of clinical settings and with diverse populations. Her clinical interests include neurodegenerative disorders, substance use disorders, mood and/or anxiety disorders, trauma, grief and loss, and multicultural issues. She approaches therapy from a cognitive behavioral perspective utilizing a biopsychosocial and holistic approach.
Dr. Souder is passionate about assisting individuals and their loved ones through the unique challenges associated with the aging process. She enjoys working with individuals and families from adolescence through the geriatric population. She has extensive experience working with individuals who have alcohol and/or drug abuse concerns. Dr. Souder seeks to integrate the environmental, lifestyle, health, educational, social, and psychological aspects that contribute to one’s mental health.
